I guess you guys weren't joking. If that's true, they don't seem worried about preserving out lives at all. That or they don't know how to.

Yeah. Jason's one of the worst of them... he put a lot of us through four or five surgeries in a single month.

[Five? You can hear the surprise in the breath he takes. That allows for little to no recovery time at all...not that Akihiko is good about allowing himself to recover, but operations of any sort are tough on the body.]
