[ Have a robot, guys. Text begins appearing on the Network at a ridiculously fast speed; no one can type this fast. ]
We are Legion, a terminal of the Geth and integrated member of the Normandy SR2, a Cerberus frigate run by the human known as Commander Shepard. We have downloaded all external data from this Network that was not blocked or filtered through other channels presently inaccessible to our hard drive. We have spoken with several "captives" thusfar.
However, there are still inquiries that we would desire data on. Thusfar, our research has proven that some of the lifeforms here are capable of self-defense, but not all of them. The creatures here can prove extremely dangerous. As such, we would like information on whether or not accurate Mass Effect field generators have been created to allow adequate shielding from shell damage.
We would also like to know if weapons production has been studied. We could reproduce or aid in the manufacturing of organic-friendly firearms that would not need ammo, and would run on energy instead. This would be conservative due to the limited amount of ammunition in this place.
The "trunk" with which we were given has spare parts and Elements. With help, we could reproduce Geth shielding technology and armaments, if this is desirable among the others captive here. If this is of any interest to others, we await your replies.
We will be stationed on the twenty-seventh floor for in-person inquiries if deemed necessary.

[editted to include 'text' though it's pretty obvious]
anyway
some of the critters knock out your ability to do Cool Things just by being near them
(generally, info pools on the monsters are really sad and piddly. it's a big problem, and the watch group that used to be around broke off into a lot of little nearly solo things)
but if it's tech it might work, so have ats
[text]
We have no problems observing said hostile life. We are capable of making tactical cloaking systems as well for research purposes if this would be preferable. Geth cloaking technology is reliable and steady until it is turned off.

pretty awesome
...
but what about the giant skinless blind horror lizards
I think they might not really care how invisible you are

This platform is well-equipped in the event of self-defense becoming necessary. Shields and rifles, hacking, and if necessary brute force are also perfectly acceptable.

you just said a beautiful word that I would like to talk to your more about,
starts with an h ends with a "Jason go back to plotting horrible things to do to us and stop reading"
you said 27th floor earlier, right?

[ It's being deliberately careful now as it can tell Sayaka has confidential things to discuss AWAY from administrative prying eyes. ]
[text -> action]
[Ten minutes was really just an overly hopeful estimate. Sayaka looks at her surroundings - floor three - with a bit of exasperation. Okay, so she just has to go down to floor one, then take the elevator to twenty one... and from there it's just six staircases. She's had worse.
Going back to the lab level is weirdly nostalgic.. she hasn't really hung out here ever since starting the information gathering project. Sayaka takes sweeping looks around as she attempts to spot anyone that looks like a 'Legion' sounds. She turns a bit too quickly away from any of the isolated chambers you can see windows into, here and there.]
Yo. Legion? Snake? Snake? Snaaaaaaake...
[perma-action] omg sayaka i cannot handle you?
We sure hope this thing fits your bill of the idea of "what a Legion" looks like. Because it's presently got a Holographic Computer Thingy™ (highly scientific term) running and also has two guns on the table, some weird canister, a bunch of weird clips that look like ammunition packs for a gun, and... other stuff you can't quite make out because it's parts mostly?
When Sayaka speaks, it doesn't look away from it's work, but it does respond, although the response is flippant; it plays video games, actually, Sayaka... ]
Solid Snake. He was an interesting human character from the video game series Metal Gear. It is one of the games from Earth's past we would have liked to see. The concepts within were interesting.
[ This is just idle chatter, though. It turns it's head-lamp-thing toward Sayaka (but purposefully dims the light so, hah, it doesn't BLIND her) and the small "iris" type shutter closes before opening again. The Omni-Tool (or Holographic Computer Thingy™) is still in use, and a barrier is set up around them that crackles to life not unlike some of the things magic can do, just... with technology. It's not malevolent, however. ]
We have created an Anti-Personnel barrier and Anti-Hacking measures to prevent unwanted attention and overhearing of confidential matters on this floor for your protection. We assume that your desire is to discuss means of combating the Administrators of this facility.
