i mean it was kind of terrifying the first time
and maybe even the second time
but at this point its like the hugest fucking waste of time to be stuck lying on your bed waiting to get feeling to your fingers again
but now im curious
what is the longest you got stuck lying in bed for
like an approximate if you werent sure of the exact time

Yeah. It'd probably take awhile to get through all these movies considering you've never watched a movie before this. [But he can make sure she only watches the best movies obviously. Although he might throw a Nic Cage movie in there for the sake of her being able to say she had seen one.]

Well, other than the first one. [Which, ironically, DID have Nic Cage in it. Oops?] But-- good. I'm glad to have something like that to look forward to. I can hardly wait. [Not that she doesn't appreciate the movies they're watching today, of course.]

First one? What was that? [Oh god.] We have plenty of other stuff too. Like video games. You ever play video games? Because I'm going to make you a champ before you know it. You'll cream everyone else at SquiddleKart or something.

Con Air. You watched that with John, didn't you. I know no one else who would actually like that movie and make everyone else watch it that isn't John. [No one can escape Con Air. Not as long as John is around. Christ.] Well, it's a really shitty action movie, so it requires like fifty explosions at least.

I will. You'll be the master of Squiddle Kart and you can play with me and Jade.

He's my best bro. It's basically a subject that constantly gets brought up in conversation. [He doesn't sound annoyed though. He likes John and talking to John. Even if it's about dumb things like Con Air.] If John recommends it, you can probably just say it sucks. He has shit tier taste in movies.

Most people probably don't know what a Squiddle is. That seems to be something special from my universe.

No. I mean like. Squiddles is some shitty show and I don't watch it, but I got a friend who's super into it. She's probably got a shitton of those things.

It's for little kids. Like, Jade gets a go free card because she lives on a fucking island, but no one else actually would admit to watching it otherwise. That's generally something you keep to yourself. On the other hand. A video game on it is more acceptable.

I guess? It depends where he's taken from. I used to not be able to fly. [He feels like one of those suave alcohol commercials. Most interesting man on Earth or something.]

Because at least the video game is fun.

We were normal for awhile. Grew up like averages kids and then suddenly we weren't. So yeah. [Dave ponders for a moment.] Yeah, I guess. It's nice having it. It's one of those things that having it doesn't also mean having some huge repercussion with it.

I don't think they have the show itself here. [Thank god.]

Mm. I think I know what you mean. [Like how it was for Sora and Riku and Kairi. World-saving was not exactly on the agenda in the beginning, aside from perhaps in play.] Well, I'm glad it's something good for you, then. That's nice to know.

That's okay. I'll see the game, at least. That should be enough.

The show would probably leave you traumatized forever or you'll have a bad case of needing to cuddle everything in sight anyways.

[She doesn't really cuddle anything, at least not with that other things starting it. She is, however, smiling as she says it.]

It's like these things are out for tangle buddies and you can get caught in their tentacles of love and lack of personal privacy. I assure you that they're like the cuddle Cthulhu or some shit.

I have no idea what Cthulhu is supposed to be, but that sounds... uncomfortable. I mean-- not the love part, just the rest.

I'm starting to wonder what your place even had if you didn't have Cthulhu. [Not that having Cthulhu was some great thing to have for referencing.]

I guess they're cute but definitely not my thing.

... Well, there was one person I know of who had tentacles, and I'm sure there were others like her. [Although the thought makes her brow knit.] She wasn't a very nice woman, and I don't think she would have spent much time cuddling anyone.

[She's just going with tentacles rather than eldritch monstrosities, since she's not familiar with that part of it.]
