My name is Jun Kurosu. Some of you may remember me from the body swap fiasco.

Others have offered their translation services and I thought perhaps I could help as well. I'm fluent in English, Japanese, and French, and I know some German and Spanish as well. If you need help communicating with anyone who knows those languages, please let me know.

If you speak a language that is in the same family as those, I can try my best to help with that too. It shouldn't be too difficult. At least as long as this keeps up.

I suppose if anyone wants to learn any of those languages after this mess too, I can assist. In addition, has anyone been able to figure out how the language of this world works?

[Akihiko looks optimistic up until he places the pen tip on the paper.

He's not a very good artist. But he's got to try. He draws a stick figure with a smiley face, then scribbles hair on it to hang over one of its dot eyes.

And Jun is apparently holding a wrench. Because wrenches fix things.

[Akihiko was lucky Jun's boyfriend was a mechanic, because it was probably thanks to that that the wrench was able to get the meaning across. Unfortunately, they'd probably need a middleman that spoke Hindi and one of Jun's languages if Akihiko needed help with something that pictionary couldn't convey.

Don't worry dude, he wasn't a very good artist either. As evident by the next drawing he held up, which was a generic stick figure with its mouth open, and a...scribble that kind of looked like Hindi coming out of its mouth, but was actually just completely gibberish. Then, an arrow pointing at them with a question mark. Was there anyone else around here that could speak Hindi right now...?]

[He seems to get the gist. Faking Hindi characters seems pretty simple.]

[Jun seems to understand names, so he draws another figure, this one with a line-face and a tie. Dax had told him earlier with his portable translator about how they were able to understand each other. He points to the figure with the pen once it's drawn.]

Dax.

[Ah, that was right! Jun nodded; Dax had that portable translator, didn't he? It seemed like something they should've been giving to everything else, but he was sure none of them had something like that...

Regardless, there might be another solution! He drew a very basic drawing of a girl with pigtails, trying to mimic the girl that had answered the call, so to speak, and next to her drew a checkmark. The two of them should be able to communicate with each other at least!]

[ She'd been following the conversation upon discovering she could actually understand the first boy. She was so happy, even if it was someone she didn't know. ]

{A-Ah, sir, I'm able to understand this!}

[Well that was a stroke of luck! He smiled, and drew a stick figure of a boy with short hair, trying to mimic Akihiko and writing a checkmark next to it, in a way to urge her to talk to her.

And then, another drawing, of a generic figure with its mouth open and talking lines to show it was speaking, this one with a question mark next to it. Was there anything else she could speak...?]

[ Her face lights up, and she claps a bit, hopefully getting across an "I will!"

Looking at the other drawing, she nods, and starts speaking in Ormuri. It's a bit broken. ]

(A little bit of this, I do not know what...? Can't do very well, sorry.)

[He nodded in response to her joy, and then listened to her carefully. That...hm. It sort of sounded like something from somewhere in Eurasia, but he couldn't pin it down at all.

He frowned and shook his head with a reluctant shrug. Unfortunately, he had no idea what she was saying.]

[ A tiny frown, but she switches back to Hindi ]

{Ah, um, where are you? Are the two of you together right now? I could co--}

[ And she stops, because duhurr Madoka he can't understand you. She briefly goes offscreen, and returns momentarily with a piece of paper and a pen. She writes something down, and holds the paper up to the screen: a compass, with arrows pointing in North, South, West, and East. There is a question mark next to it. Where is he/where are you? ]

{I'm at a terminal on the second floor. I have an idea.}

[Starting to draw again for Jun's benefit, Akihiko draws a crude table and chairs with stick people sitting on them, with a bowl on top of the table.]

Hnn.

[He adds little tiny spoon-shaped accessories in their hands. Chopsticks might be too obscure.]

{Is the cafeteria okay?}

[He would've said...er, drawn something, but it seems like those two had it covered!

So he nodded, and held up a quick stick figure drawing of Madoka and Akihiko and an arrow going towards a similar Cafeteria-like drawing, and another of himself in the library. Unless they needed him for anything, he'd stay where he was and help out the others.]
