My name is Jun Kurosu. Some of you may remember me from the body swap fiasco.

Others have offered their translation services and I thought perhaps I could help as well. I'm fluent in English, Japanese, and French, and I know some German and Spanish as well. If you need help communicating with anyone who knows those languages, please let me know.

If you speak a language that is in the same family as those, I can try my best to help with that too. It shouldn't be too difficult. At least as long as this keeps up.

[Damn. That was another he couldn't speak. Though it seemed he could at least get through names and basic words. Perhaps words that would've had to be loan words would still say the same.

Anyway, he flicked the video on and shook his head. He held up a piece of paper, that was kind of a really crude drawing of Eurasia, and had an arrow pointing to India and the Middle East with a question mark next to it. He didn't know what it was, but he was pretty sure it came from there.]

No, I'm not... actually, I've never heard of Tellius. I'm from a country called Japan, and in my world, this language is called English. At my school it was a requirement to learn, though most of them I've learned on my own.

Well... I don't know. It seems like you know many languages. Are there people here who come from places that would speak those languages natively? I... never really thought about it, but I could communicate with humans when speaking Alternian...

Yes, where I come from, certain languages are only spoken in certain areas of the world. For example-- you're speaking Japanese now. It's primarily only spoken in Japan, where I'm from. French is native to a country called France, and English is native to America and the United Kingdom.

I suppose your world is a bit more advanced than ours, because as far as I know, we don't have any sort of universal translator. Not yet, at least.

I admit, I'm much better at reading and reciting German than I am at writing it. Spanish was nothing more than a passing fancy for me though.
