First Wind (video)
[The network is happily greeted by the face of a young man with surprisingly golden hair staring into the screen. It's hard to guess what he's feeling right now, seeing as how he was given the news that his world was destroyed. However, that didn't seem to phase him much, so he's not as shocked as others might be. He's relieved to know that some of his possessions came with him, but...
Enough contemplation, he finally begins to speak up.]
A shame, isn't it? That our worlds are gone? It's nothing that I would have expected in the first place, seeing as it's a bit hard to believe. However, I'll have to put my trust into it that my world is actually gone. Needless to say, I'll be missing my partners over there- unless some of them were brought here, as well. If you've ever heard of a Guido Mista, or Trish Una, please contact me.
...ah, I suppose I should introduce myself in the meantime. My name is Giorno Giovanna, and I greet all of you who were taken to this "Tower". Hopefully time will tell if I enjoy this place, or not. The atmosphere is...undesirable, however. But I'm sure some of you might have gathered that much in time.
...also, if anyone is kind enough to show me around, I would be grateful to you. I need to learn about as much of this place as I can before I can truly adventure and claim certain parts as safe. Also, a bit off the subject, but have any of you heard of what a "Stand" is? If you have, then let me know. I have some...things I'll be needing of you.

As if we weren't on the same wavelength about anything else we discussed.
[Action]
[Another small chuckle.]
That's true! But it's good to find someone on the same wavelength as you here.
Re: [Action]
[Even if she might not need it.]
You're right, finding others with the same wavelength is hard to come across. Especially if they differ in personality.
[Action]
Which tends to happen here quite a bit, since there are a lot of people here! However..while I've read a lot of books, if you wouldn't mind, I would love to take you up on those lessons! Extra information never hurt!
[Action]
Now, when shall be a good time to do this? I would imagine any time when you don't exactly have that drone following you around, or when things have seemingly calmed down.
[Action]
Well, I have no problem doing it now, since Ivan is away..but if you want to do it later, put a picture of a sheep in my mailbox and the number of which floor you'll be on. That way, I'll know it's you.
[Action]
It would have to be at a later time, right now would seem a little too hasty, and we wouldn't have had the time to prepare ourselves. But I'll be sure to keep that interesting tidbit in mind.
[Action]
Alright then! I'll wait for your note then. Do you know where the mailbox floor is? If not, I'll show you. We're heading up near it anyway, so I can show you it and you can get a mailbox, if you haven't already.
[Action]
Ah, if you could show me, I'd be grateful- although a mailbox would come in handy in a place like this...but yes. Please, lead the way.
[Action]
[And then, thankfully, the elevator doors opened, leading to the eighty-first floor. Tohko walked out, trying to pull Giorno with her.]
Alright then! It's just a few floors down, so it won't be too long of a walk!
[Action]
[And he definitely wasn't expecting her to pull him out like that, but he's putting that aside right now.]
I find walking to be quite invigorating, either way. It's not every day you're chased around by a drone, either.
[Action]
[As she spoke, Tohko kept on walking down the stairs, not thinking that Giorno minded being pulled down the stairs.]
Well, to be honest, I wasn't always chased around by a drone here. Ivan's been a recent addition to the Tower..and I imagine that some friends of his are probably stalking other people.
[After all, she hadn't been the only one suspected. But, when they got outside of the mailbox room, Tohko let go of Giorno and stepped inside, pointing out her mailbox.]
Here we are! If you talk with the drones, they'll give you a mailbox number, which will be yours. I'm the second one, so I'm easy to find when you want to send me mail.
[Action]
[Light humor as he's being pulled around by Tohko here. Not that he really cares in the first place. He's just keeping quiet about it for now.]
Ah, really? Hm, well, what a very thoughtful addition from the administrators part...if not, a bit cumbersome in the first place.
[And right...mailbox...he made a mental note of hers- it definitely shouldn't be hard to miss- and called for one of the drones to come over, awaiting a mailbox number.]
[Action]
[She kept smiling as she spoke and nodded, letting go of Giorno so that he could get his own mailbox.]
It really is helpful! It may be a bit hard for some..but I really enjoy it.
[And she would just wait as one of the drones came over to give Giorno his mailbox number.]
[Action]
[And so one of the drones came by, giving Giorno his mailbox number. Now it was just time to find the thing...]
You enjoy it? I suppose I've heard stranger things before.
[Action]
[Tohko looked a little puzzled at that last comment.]
What's so strange about enjoying old-fashioned mail?
[Action]
[And don't mind him just casually waving her hand at her.]
Nothing's wrong with it, I just find it a little more cumbersome then the technology back at home.
[Action]
[As she spoke, Giorno got an odd mix of her genuine smile and her mask of a one. Only people who were really good at reading her facial expressions could tell though. But she would chuckle at that hand.]
Ah, alright then! Before I came here, machines and I didn't really see eye-to-eye, so I avoided them.
[Action]
[He nodded, staring at her for a moment, looking at her...hm. He couldn't quite make out what that smile was, but he was sure there was some hidden meaning behind it. He'll brush it off for now.]
Ah, right, you were more of a "book" person, weren't you? I suppose the sound of paper must be music to your ears.
[Action]
[Tohko looked a bit puzzled as he trailed off and cut himself off. Just what was he thinking about?]
I am a bit strong..but what made you think so? I know you said you would share later one, but I'm quite curious right now, so if you don't mind, I would like to know.
[A more genuine smile came out as she spoke.]
Of course! I am a book girl, after all! The feel of paper on my fingers is wonderful! The only thing better is the words that are contained on the pages! They really are delicious!
[Action]
[And he thought he couldn't exactly escape from this sort of line of questioning, so he had to think for a second to collect his thoughts.]
...it wasn't about the part of you being strong, it was more directed towards the regrets and worries, part. I was going to say that anyone would have their fair share of regrets and worries, and no one could really escape them. But...I wanted to save that for a later conversation.
[He shrugged, not really feeling the importance of what he just said.]
Endless amount of books to be found, I suppose, for you and your eyes to feast on. They have a library here, correct? I'd feel myself returning there if there was one.
[Action]
I'm sorry then. I didn't mean to be nosy. However..you're right, almost everyone has their share of worries and burdens. I tend to worry, sometimes, if we'll be able to bring everyone back to life, if we even can restore the universes, and if I'll be able to keep my friends safe.
[And her secrets safe.]
But..worrying doesn't tend to get me anywhere, so even though I do fret, I try not to and work towards my goals, so that everything can be safe.
[Tohko's smile grew a bit at the mention of the library though.]
Exactly! There's and endless amount of books here! The nineteenth floor carries the nonfictional books, and the third floor carries the fiction.
[Action]
Don't, after all, we're acquaintances now. And we should be able to tell each other what's on our mind without uncertainty, right? I'm sorry that I didn't seem to think it through when I mentioned it. But, I suppose I'll be striving for the same things you are at the moment.
[Hopefully that would be enough to put her worries at rest.]
Of course, after all, that's all anyone can do right now...work and achieve their goals.
[A nod, followed by a raised eyebrow at the mention of the library.]
...Ah. I didn't realize they separated everything into rooms...I'll be sure to check both soon enough, seeing as how I'm going to find something to occupy my time with.
[Action]
Alright then! I just know that even friends can get annoyed when someone gets too nosy. But don't worry about that! That happens to everyone sometimes, even me. But I am glad that we'll both be working towards our goals.
[Tohko looked a little puzzled when Giorno mentioned that he didn't know the libraries were separated. Sure, he was a new arrival here, but it was normal for the library to separate sections, even if they were in the same building.]
Really? It's normal, at least where I'm from, to keep the sections separate. But the library will keep you occupied for a long time, if you're looking for something to do!
[Action]
[A slight smirk appears on his face momentarily, before he actually shakes it off. He didn't mean for it to come out like that, so he has an apologetic look on his face afterwards.]
I wouldn't know where to begin in a library, actually, seeing as how I've been occupied with much more back from where I came from. But here, it should be a little relaxing.
