We've seen, or heard of, what the administrators have done to our souls. Materialized them. Liquefied them. Maybe even put them into our collars, or something absurd like that.
Where does that leave their victims whose souls were materialized/liquefied at the wrong time? Let's say: during a state of possession. Might there be a way to filter out the foreign influence? What of those of us who are physically ill and fragile no matter how many times we die and are resurrected? Shouldn't there be a way to tweak this materialized soul to fix that?
What a sloppy system. It seems to me the administrators are lazy.
For the record, Jason, if you are reading this: yes. I am questioning your professionalism. I am calling you lazy. If you're offended, track me down and punish me all you like, but fix the souls you materialized wrong.

I'm pretty sure from certain experience that our souls are froze at whatever state they grabbed us at - I mean, you can mess with it while you're alive, but once you die and get revived it's going to be the same. You're right that if anyone can change that it'll be him, but... (;¬_¬)

Second, what's your source on that? I'm curious. Any information is useful, after all.

[Why, yes, she's going with the cutesy-er appellation just because of the protest.]
Most of it's first-hand. I'm not gonna explain it in public because it's complicated and because souls are kind of a ~super personal~ thing. But if you're smart and if it really matters that much you can figure out usernames and try to bug me about it sometime.
My theory is it's like, they have something like a file saved, you know? It's like with a video game, you can continue on from that point and mess up massively, but you reset it and you're back. I know a soul can get destroyed here but then you come back anyway, and that's why I think of it like a file.
[That's what Roxas had described it like, when his collar was removed - like his soul was getting torn up. And Sayaka's went through her fair amount of broken soul gems.]

[...dammit. Did he really just send that? He frantically stabs at the "delete" button a few times, but it's too late. With a sigh, he moves on.]
I see. In that case, they don't need to understand anything about the contents of the souls in order to keep bringing them back. It's like the difference between a skilled programmer and someone playing around with savestates on an emulator. That'd make sense, if everything we've heard about them having taken over the tower from its original administrators is true. They don't even truly know what they're working with.
What a pain...

I was told a account of someone's seventh death and revival being different than the others prior. As though there was a mistake made in the process, they were just slightly more aware of whatever went on in between the two. Had you been aware of accounts such as that?

Which is obviously problematic, dealing with an abstract matter like this.

They may be lazy (and probably are) but the core of the issue is their absolute lack of competence. They're children pretending to be gods and this gives birth to the situation you have described, amongst other things.
Even if he wanted, he could not fix these souls. You give him too much credit.

maybe it has something to do with the way he makes new bodies

Re: text
so i'd say his raw material might be limited
like somehow he made a bunch of bodies from the same source

I know you want to help your friend, but please believe me when I say that this isn't the way to do it.

What a worrying thought.

It's a matter of using his skill to set an example. I've been on the wrong end of his scalpels too many times and always come back in one piece. If he wanted to fix someone and have it look elegant, he could.
Here's the thing - he doesn't actually want to fix anyone for any kind of altruistic purposes. He doesn't give a shit about that. He cares more about making people afraid of him. He did what he did to my friend on purpose just to advance his own reputation, I'm absolutely convinced.
