[The feed cuts on to a frantic-looking Nazi who's struggling to smile.]

Look. No, okay, look, ja? [He holds his hands up to the camera in a "calm down" motion.] There are three posts about that silly collar thing. Talk in those. Let us do something else now, okay?

[He lifts up a book.]

We are going to read some stories, then we may discuss them. That is fun und unrelated, right? Here, I will begin.

[He clears his throat.]

'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...'

Too long. [Ryuunosuke waves with a bright smile.] I kind of have to clean up a little, y'know, otherwise there are too many annoying questions.

Okay, okay, fair enough. Hold on--

[He fiddles with the network and makes their feed private. It'll be better if everyone else doesn't have a record of this.]

There we go. Anyway, I think I prefer how you look when you're dying. [He giggles.] But, let's not get ahead of ourselves. How have you been?

Bored, mostly. People come and people go and I've hardly gotten a chance to kill any of them.

[He sighs, then brightens up.] Well, you've got to be thankful for the murders you can commit and not spend all your time thinking about what you can't. Otherwise you'll really get yourself depressed.

[Richtofen groans.]

Oh, I know what you mean! My body count is pathetically low. But...

[He looks around to make sure he's alone in this wing of the library, then leans close to the microphone and lowers his voice to something barely above a whisper. His smile darkens in that "I know something you don't know" sort of way.]

...I will be fixing that soon. Very soon.

Really?

[Ryuunosuke whispers too, in the way that anyone given a delicious secret might guard it carefully so that they are the only ones special enough to know.]

I can't wait~~~

Shall I keep something for you? An eye, maybe an organ? [He frowns.] Not the spleen, though. That is mine.

[And if it was at all unclear what he was talking about before, it's abundantly apparent now. Had he known Ryuunosuke was going to talk to him today, he might've chosen him as a target instead, but- No. He'd have wanted to get revenge on Allelujah either way. He can play with Ryuunosuke another time.

Might as well get him a souvenir, though.]

You're so sweet to me ♥ Whatever's convenient for you, it's the thought that counts.

People like us have to stick together. After all, it can be so hard to come by things like that here.

[With another pointed, suspicious glance over his shoulder.]

...I am thinking of starting a collection. It really is a pity that your spleen was so damaged by the end of it all, aha! It would have looked nice in my trunk.

Hm...

[This gives Ryuunosuke some pause.]

I could try to take mine out myself for you but it seems like it'd be pretty tough... Yeah, it needs the doctor's touch.

We will have to make you an appointment. The doctor will get that all taken care of for you, child.

[He wiggles in his seat like he can barely contain his excitement. Friendly as he seems, though, there's a darkness to his eyes that suggests thoughts more sinister than what he's letting on.]

I have been getting so many requests lately. [He lets that statement hang in the air for a beat so Ryuunosuke can reflect on it.] But I am sure I can find time to pencil you in.

You're my very favorite doctor.

[Ryuunosuke's smile just gets wider and even more friendly. He manages to talk about taking out a spleen in the same way that someone would talk about getting someone flowers.

Pink, organ-y flowers.]

Und you are an excellent patient.

[Note that he didn't say "favorite." Rude. ~~But when he has trolls and superhumans to cut open, well...~~]

I work in the infirmary, you know. Feel free to stop by any time.

Will do~ You'll get tired of me before you know it.

I wouldn't worry about that. [Richtofen chuckles.] There are enough examinations I could give you to keep the both of us occupied for a very long time.

[He goes on in an even lower voice.]

There are many different ways a person can scream.

I can't wait to try them all.

[If you weren't separated by a terminal screen he might hug you.]

[If Richtofen's at all aware of how his suggestion came off, he doesn't show it in the least.]

We have plenty of time in here, mein Freund, plenty of dangerous floors to explore, sharp objects to find... Trust me, I will make sure we leave no stone unturned!

[He giggles and claps his hands together. Immediately thereafter, he glances over his shoulders to make sure nobody heard him.]

Looks like you're in the clear from this angle. Though, I've got to ask, why bother hiding this kind of thing?

[Ryuunosuke only gets away with it because he moves so often. That's not really an option in the Tower.]

[Richtofen adopts a tone not unlike that of a mentor talking to their student.]

Because, mein Kleine Ryuunosuke, most people in this place do not take too kindly to the things you und I enjoy. As much as I would like to just ignore them and do whatever I want... [He sighs, a bit overdramatically.] ...it is simply not feasible. I must take care with what I say und what I do.

Aaah, guess so. Well, don't worry, I'll make sure not to out you to anybody.

[It's not like many people appreciate him talking about this anyway.]

Perfect. I knew I could trust you.

[His smile seems genuine enough.]

Now, if you will excuse me. [He straightens his tie and clears his throat.] The less we discuss this matter over the network, the better. Though... [Something darker - still pleasant, but more dangerous - shines in his eyes.] ...it was quite fun while it lasted.

Same, same~ [Ryuuosuke is still bright-eyed and smiling.] And I'm sure you're a very busy man.
