I have noticed many amongst us appear concerned about Ruana's next step, namely her siphoning of the souls left on dead worlds.

I can and do understand the will to oppose Ruana, I encourage it. However, this desire I have witnessed of saving the lost souls is quite intriguing, if not misplaced. The vast majority of these souls are people we have never met and will most likely never meet. For that matter we did not even know they existed before stepping into this tower, nor did we have any thoughts for them before seeing that message.

They have had whatsoever no impact on our lives and never will they have any. Nothing binds them to us and what fate will befall them, ultimately is none of our concern. It is their own fight while we have our own fights. Hence I have only one question:

Why do you care?

Life is cheap, every Astartes knows that. But if you can bring a human to the truth, why not? Better an ally than a foe. if we're speaking of Ruana, she is not human, nor am I convinced she has a soul as we'd understand it.

If we're speaking strictly of my own thoughts I'd bring down the hammer of judgement on her for what she's done.

So you begin by saying that every life is important, then now you speak about how cheap life is?

You do not fear contradictions, do you?

If it was a contradiction, I would agree with you. I will explain: Every life is important, but the cost of a life is a twitch of a muscle or the burst of a bolt-shell. But in fairness, paradox is part of my nature. I am a warrior designed to make himself obsolete, a weapon of absolute terror and devastation created to bring about galactic peace.

And regarding fear: I know no fear, that is the advantage of being what I am.

I have only one question, of curiosity. Do you know no fear because it is how you are, or because you overcame your fears?
