I have noticed many amongst us appear concerned about Ruana's next step, namely her siphoning of the souls left on dead worlds.

I can and do understand the will to oppose Ruana, I encourage it. However, this desire I have witnessed of saving the lost souls is quite intriguing, if not misplaced. The vast majority of these souls are people we have never met and will most likely never meet. For that matter we did not even know they existed before stepping into this tower, nor did we have any thoughts for them before seeing that message.

They have had whatsoever no impact on our lives and never will they have any. Nothing binds them to us and what fate will befall them, ultimately is none of our concern. It is their own fight while we have our own fights. Hence I have only one question:

Why do you care?

Because they're suffering too. Even if I don't know all the trapped souls, I still don't like the thought of people being devoured to power a horrible person. They may be far away, but their fight is our fight, even if they can't really fight where they are right now.

I know that we might not be able to save all of them, or even any of them..but it's better to worry and try to save all of them that we can, even if we don't know most of them. I wouldn't want them to be eaten.

Wouldn't it be better to focus on saving what we know we can save, instead of focusing on trying to accomplish an impossible task?

Who knows that it's impossible? We don't know exactly who is dead and who we can't save right now. While I'm not saying that we'll be able to save everyone in the end, it's much better to try your best to do so, even if you fail, so that the ones you do manage to save can keep writing out the stories of their lives.

I believe it is much better to focus on what you can actually do and make the best to accomplish it. If you focus on too wide of an area, you divide your own strength and you will not be able to save anything.

However, again, we don't know exactly who we can or can't save from the dead universes, so until we find that there is a limit, it's best to try and save everyone that's alive back there. If a limit comes up later, we'll have to work with it, but for right now, I believe that it's best to try and save everyone since we don't know whether we'll fail or not.
