I have noticed many amongst us appear concerned about Ruana's next step, namely her siphoning of the souls left on dead worlds.

I can and do understand the will to oppose Ruana, I encourage it. However, this desire I have witnessed of saving the lost souls is quite intriguing, if not misplaced. The vast majority of these souls are people we have never met and will most likely never meet. For that matter we did not even know they existed before stepping into this tower, nor did we have any thoughts for them before seeing that message.

They have had whatsoever no impact on our lives and never will they have any. Nothing binds them to us and what fate will befall them, ultimately is none of our concern. It is their own fight while we have our own fights. Hence I have only one question:

Why do you care?

It is a selfish desire to want to save everyone imaginable, I ought to say. It is also impossible to believe that you can save thousands, if not millions of souls with just one action.

But, that is what makes humanity beautiful to me. Humans will, time and time again, go to amazing lengths and complete feats to overcome a challenge. So, if this action makes them selfish for wanting to save the lost souls from damnation, then so be it.

Besides, anonymous, do you not have anyone that you would save? Even if it is for an antagonistic purpose, for example, that person is always your rival?

It does not only make them selfish but ignorant as well. Humans rarely accomplish those amazing feats they are credited with. Only in books do they.

I have not anyone I wish to save. Not in this tower, not in my world nor anywhere else. Not any more. However even if I did, I would follow reasons before a foolish course of action.

I am curious. What makes you so pessimistic on humankind and the nature they have?

--You said "not any more". Did you once have that desire and someone scorned you? Although, I would also follow reasoning before doing anything rash, so we are alike on those grounds.

Reality makes me so. You only need watch around you to see my reasons to think what I do.

I once had a desire to save my people. However they were all executed a long time ago, hence none of interest remain to me.
