This is Minato Arisato. I’ve been absent for the past month due to being sent home. Would anyone mind filling me in on what happened while I was gone?
[He already have the basics from Yu. But what if his roommate was unaware of other things? Hence the question.]
For a lighter question, what are some of your favourite activities/hobbies?
[A seemingly innocent, useless question. But it’s a topic Minato purposely choose for this just to talk to people, either via text or audio or just face to face. As long people talks, he's happy.]

I just asked something similar before I went home! Great minds think alike?
So I can't really fill you in. Sorry
[He just had to comment on the situation. It figures the two of them would be sent home around the same time, and ask almost the same questions on the network.]
Text
[It seems like they both went home at roughly the same time. The difference between them was when they asked this question.]
It's alright. Did you just return recently, am I right?
Text
I found it was good for cheering people up as well.
And I did. Just a little over a week ago now, if I remember correctly.
Text
[How their faces lighten up, their voices sounding more excited and happy, these things are what Minato like to see.]
Are you doing well since then?
[How's your post-return recovery going? Minato knows how it feels when someone returned to their world alone.]
Text
Yeah. It's nice seeing them cheer up like that.
And I've been just fine. Glad to be back, as strange as that sounds.
[He's just relieved to be out of there. Seeing that destroyed world... it was exactly like what he had expected, but that didn't make it any less painful.]

[ This is the most informative answer.
Clearly the only one Minato needs. ]

A month is a lot of days.
Any interesting days?

One day I cut a monster in half with my chainsaw and both halves kept on running for a little while.
no subject
That's interesting. I don't think I fought that particular monster yet. Or I did, but I never cut them in half like that.

[ Although he.. probably wasn't aware of that.. that's not how bodies work, Urotsuki. ]

i have come to enjoy sewing and tailoring, although sometimes it can be frustrating as well. cooking is another fine enough way to pass the time, but i find myself wishing that i could enjoy the results more.
[Shift key? What is the shift key?]
what do you mean by being sent home???
Text
[Minato's are more practical and simple in design. Nothing compared to Bebe's bolder choices.]
It's unfortunate, since cooking can be fun to do. Especially if you can eat the food with a friend.
[But revelations ruined it a little.]
I was accidentally sent back to my home world for a while.
Text
[If only she knew how unpleasant the answer to her last question actually was...]
that can happen? but aren't the worlds destroyed? they seem to support no life at all. how could you survive?
Text
[Her other question is easier for him to answer this time, now that he's more aware of what's going on. As well as the nature of their current existence.]
Yes, our worlds are destroyed. Only our souls was brought into the tower because our bodies was destroyed. Which means just my soul returned to the world.
Text
our bodies were destroyed??? really???
[There's a significant pause in the electronic conversation, before another line appears.]
that would explain how you could return safely.
i must research this further. this changes things so much.

[As the more swordsman they have in the Tower the better right? For cannon fodder if nothing else. Even if their training sessions had stopped abruptly - Minato's use in provoking Ryoji wasted, Sephiroth has no reason to particularly hate him.
Not very many people would have the courage and determination to take the training he had briefly offered.]
no subject
[For better or worse, there are people in the tower. It's always his main reason for enduring the administrator's games and experiments. Of course, that includes...not so nice people. He won't deny that.
As for Sephiroth? Despite the threats and who knows what Sephiroth did to Ryoji, Minato was more wary of the swordsman instead of hating him. He still respect Sephiroth's skills with the blade, even after he stop attending the lessons.
Wary, polite and respectful, but no hate. Yet.]
Did anything happen during my absence?
no subject
It's been rather subdued, I find.
[Despite the phantoms, despite the death - compared to Jason's previous cycle Sephiroth had found it rather less infuriating on the whole - even if in the end the exhausting effects had been lethal. It had been almost disappointing, but Sephiroth won't go that far and state such over the network. Minato would have to learn for himself of the psychelesis phantoms, he's seen a couple of them around since then.]
I see the menu is greatly improved. ['-but one could wonder why' is not typed.]
no subject
Minato read the line about the menu.]
It's not Jason's month, so I would assume so.
[It's just an illusion, a glamour to trick their senses. But Minato would still appreciate savouring the food at the cafeteria, a simple pleasure in any life.]
no subject
[He could say so much more, but not to Minato and most certainly not on the network.]
It's certainly a lot cooler this month as well.
