3. Knowledge [Video]
[[OOC: This is backdated to the 16th, after the Nyx Avatar battle. I meant to make this post earlier, but so it goes. Better late than never!]]
The video opens up on Jade Curtiss, picking up and slipping on his glasses, then looking at the camera while smiling his usual unconcerned smile and wearing his usual military uniform.
"Forgive me my abruptness, but I'd like to conduct a little survey," he says pleasantly. "My name is Jade Curtiss, and I had the fascinating experience of my first death yesterday--at, apparently, the hands of Death itself, no less. When I awoke this morning, I couldn't help but wonder, what sorts of deaths have you all experienced thus far? If you wouldn't mind indulging my curiosity, please leave a response in whatever format you prefer with as much detail as you feel comfortable with giving.
"Please be aware that I will likely ask follow-up questions. This is, of course, completely optional. For those of you who do participate, thank you in advance for your cooperation."
He nods his head politely, then reaches forward for something off-screen. The video cuts there. ...Morbid much?

Sorry that you died.
[Because it sucks. But anyway, the question...hm.]
I died roughly eleven times. [He thinks. Minato doesn't remember what happened on March 5th last year...] Some from being killed by others and some from participating in games.
Eleven times, hm? Have you been in the Tower for a long time, or have you simply been unlucky? Also, how well do you remember these deaths, and could you please describe to me some of the effects when you came back, particularly with the later deaths?
[Without Jade, it'd probably take longer...]
It comes from being here for a long time. Over two years for myself, actually. [He's surprised the number isn't higher.] As for my deaths, I remember most of them, mainly those I was conscious of and it's a not a fast death.
[Hmmmmm...] Other than the sleep paralysis, it feels like the temporary arm numbness was longer than before.
[Probably, but Jade sees no point in pointing that out.]
Is that all? I heard from Yukiko that there seem to be additional, more frightening effects after around the seventh death. If it is, could you tell me how long those effects are now, please?
[The arm numbness were all from after he woke up. While he's asleep--during the revival process?--there's some things he remembers.]
As for after I wake up and the sleep paralysis wears off, I didn't time myself, but it's around ten minutes or so at first for my numb arm. Kind of like I was sleeping on it for too long. For each death afterwards, it seems to take longer and longer for the numbness to fade.
Re: [Video]
I see. That matches what Yukiko said. Specifically, she mentioned that the time increases by about ten minutes. Have you experienced a cap on this, or does it take you close to two hours to be able to move again now?
[Now that he gave his name, he'll answer the questions. First off, the easy one.]
No, not quite yet. I started experiencing it around my eighth death. If what Yukiko-san said is true, my eleventh death would bring it up to about forty minutes of numbness.
[So no, he haven't reach the cap, if there's any.
He pause to recall what he remembers.]
Before I wake up, it's like I'm in a cage at first. The more I died, the more details I can see...
It started at your eighth? I see. Yukiko said she'd only died four times, but she'd experienced the sleep paralysis... Perhaps it differs from person to person.
How detailed is this "cage" now, if I may ask? And did that also start as of your eighth death? You don't have to specify what exactly those details are if you prefer not to.
As for the "cage", it's like a cage with bars. I remember there's blue lights, which seems to be the same colour as my collar.
[Given the connection between the collars and their souls, it's easy for him to see the connection.]
[To do otherwise is just bad science.]
Do you know of anyone else who's seen their own cage or anything similar to it? Otherwise, I'll set it aside as a point of data to track if I can.
No, not that I know off. [Did his roommates even die that many times to get there?] But I agree, it's something I'm interested in finding out. Even if it means disproving a connection between the cage's lights and our collars.
