_{[Forward dated to the 13th.]

[The recording begins with dead air for a few tense seconds, before a young girl's voice picks up.]}

..so the network's stopped streaming all of that stuff now. If I'd gotten on and it was still happening, I don't know what I'd do. _{[Ignoring that she'd seen some people that were in the labyrinth out and walking about the tower again herself, but that had been a very.. fuzzy week for her.]}

--That's not the point of this, though. Um. Roxas, did I faint or something, the other day? And...

...Madoka. Are you really here? I'm.. if you are, I'm sorry for saying that you were just a dream...! _{Please, please really be here.}

[Jin wasn't worried and bottling his emotions like Roxas; he was about to speak again before Lina marched over and started yelling. He stared at her, pushed his glasses up his nose, and then used his other hand to whap her on the back of the head.]

_{[And then Jin interjects with a bop to Lina's head, and she cuts off to strangle a snicker.]}

Rox is too emotionally burnt out for this, so he's just going to put his face in his hands and ignore this entire conversation for a second.]

She doesn't remember any of it...

[She was going to go on more, but Jin's smack to her head got her to pay attention to something other than the focus of her temper - and before it could re-focus on Jin, Roxas' comment sinks in real quick.

The flames of annoyance and anger got quashed real quick, and she takes a step back from Sayaka and swallows.]

You...don't remember the other day? In the music room?

[Good, the idiot simmered down. He crossed his arms and was apparently the only one that wasn't depressed now.]

Of course she doesn't. Technically she was already dead at that point.

[And he peered over his glasses because come on he has some exposition to do.] If you'll shut up long enough, I can clue her in and maybe we'll get some answers.

_{[Three people in a row claiming she was having amnesia over some event in the music room, _{two of which she explicitly trusted the word of.} Sayaka's shoulders slump, but then she hears -]}

_{[and things make a little more sense. Her soul gem had been black, and when she'd woken up it was exactly the same as when she'd arrived - and she'd had, sleep paralysis, even if Sayaka had wanted to brush it off.

It's a testament to her improved state that she simply rolls her shoulders, showing Roxas a thing or two about being subtle about putting feelings in the bottle and asks another question.]}

I guess what I'm forgetting is how that happened, huh..? Did I fight the Witch and lose? ..I'm not the strongest Puella Magi out there, anyway.

[Yeah, bottle is not exactly air-tight. He's sort of bad at this.]

_{[..Sayaka hadn't looked too closely at the grief seed before now. But she knows that symbol that's cresting the slim, foreboding artifact. It's very close to her, in fact.

As Lina and Jin chime in, she snatches her hand away from Roxas, and stumbles away.

No, no, no, no way! Puella Magi exist to kill Witches, because otherwise they'd just go around unchecked hurting people..! We're the opposite of them! So--

_{[Jin did say it was her shadow.]}

And it--you--it didn't suppress my magic like the other tower monsters do. It wasn't as...freaky as them, either. Granted it was its own kind of freaky, but not like the tower's creatures.

[And Roxas got himself a whack on the back of the head too, before Jin stepped forward and lightly grabbed the front of Sayaka's shirt.]

_{[Sayaka was on the verge of just running away entirely, finding somewhere in the endless expanse of books - no, she'd keep running. Finding somewhere in all the myriad nooks of the tower, and just hiding away, like she'd done when she first found out the truth of what happened to her soul as a result of her contract.

But there's a hand on her shirt stopping her. She takes a deep, steadying breath. She doesn't.. want to turn into a monster again, after all.]}

..yeah, that's right. That gem's the real me, so it makes sense it'd mess up when I'm upset. ..my body's not there to filter my feelings out anymore.

Didn't you hear what I just said? If that rock was the real you, you'd actually be the Witch.

[Siiigh. And now he's addressing the whole group~] I don't know much about it, but the state of her gem basically correlates to her mental state. Basically, the more like shit you feel, the darker it gets, the more chance it turns into a Witch.

Sounds like a crappy pay-off for doing magic, if you ask me...

[And cue a confused look at Roxas.]

[Not calling it a witch, nope.]

Ain't all sugar and rainbows. [Boy didn't he know it! Though to be more constructive, he did shake his head.] Just the Grief Seed. The rest went up in a fiery explosion.

[And he frankly had no idea why Roxas had a thing on his neck or whatever.] Y'got a nice new tattoo at the least.
