As for the other, if he survived, he was meant to keep on fighting and his will was worth keeping. If he had died, he had no place in keeping the gift of life. That's just how the world works.

Yes, in theory. I've not used it of my own accord yet, and this place seems to have rendered magic like that unable to be used.
Though I do have magic that I can use.

A morbid way of looking at things, though it makes sense - aside from the fact that death in this tower is not permanent.

Being able to use magic already puts you ahead of the rest. Time magic is also one of the rarer strains,

I knew a spellcaster who specialized in it. A mighty annoying nuisance when on the other team, but a skilled ally when he was in yours. Nothing I couldn't handle of course.
