My name is Genda Koujirou - I am the goalkeeper of Neo Japan, if anyone is familiar with my team. I have a few questions, for those willing to listen and answer them. Please be respectful - I am new to all of this, so...

[How did Coach Hitomiko put it?]

[... Augh - he shakes his head at that, steeling himself again. Talking to presumably a lot of people - it's got him nervous. But his Coach wouldn't be nervous like this, and neither would the rest of his team!]

I want to know just a few things.
Was our world really "destroyed"? Is there real, tangible proof?
And where are we? Looking out the windows, there was only fog as far as I could see... it's odd.
Is there a way out of here?

[He pauses then, looking to the side, before looking back; he doesn't really want to believe there isn't, but...]

... If there is no way out, I have just a couple questions.
Is there a way to stay preoccupied? And what kind of animals live here?
Also, is there a soccer field? Or, at the very least, a field large enough for one?

Sleeping on a mattress upon the floor is nowhere as bad as being a goalkeeper without a goal!

I-I'm sure we don't have to go as far as using our own bedframes, Genda.

Well, the offer stands, should we not find the materials for it.
Besides, I'm sure Sakuma wouldn't mind sharing if a mattress proves to be too uncomfortable.

[Yep, just going ahead and assuming.]

Anyway - do you know anywhere where we can get materials like that, Kidou?

Perhaps the workshop has the right things to make a goal.

[whatpenguin]

We could go look, of course. If there is anything heavy needed, I can carry it!

{He stops walking.]

Do you want to make goals or get the soccer ball first then?

[whatpenguin]

Well... Hmm.

We can make goals later. We don't need them to practice!

[pengeen]

Alright then.

[He smiles and keeps walking towards his room.]

[And he follows right behind, sticking close!!]

[When they finally return to his room, he kneels down and opens his trunk and there is a slight hesitation before he takes the ball out. He holds it and stares at it in silence, his arms shaking just a bit.]

[The instant he notices the shaking, Genda's by his side; kneeling down to his height.]

Kidou - is something the matter?

[pengeen]

A-ah, it's nothing.

[He smiles up at his friend and stands up.]

I hope you don't mind; the ball is a bit stained.

[He hands it out to the other. There were some stains on it, as stated. They looked like dirt stains, though dirt was far from what the stains actually were from.]

[... Dirt doesn't stain soccer balls like that.
He takes the ball, looking down at it with a frown.]

... Stains don't bother me, Kidou.

[He smiles then, holding it close.]

I've seen worse than stains on a soccer ball. And I'm sure you have, too.

[pengeen]

...yeah.

[He shakes his head]

Come on, soccer isn't going to play itself.

[He puts what he had taken out back into his trunk and closes it. Then he makes his way across the room and holds the door open for Genda.]

[whatpenguin]

Right.

[He heads out then, and waits for Kidou to show the way - he's the new one here, after all.]

I warn you though - you won't be able to get it past me!

[pengeen]

[He closes the door and smirks, a bit smug]

I'm not so sure about that.

[whatpenguin]

And I'm positive about it.

[He holds the ball in front of him as he follows after Kidou, and equally smug look on his face.]

This ball will never see my back.

[pengeen]

Oh?

[This sure took him back to when he was the captain of Teikoku..]

Are you willing to bet on that?

[whatpenguin]

... Of course.

As long as my grandmother never finds out.

[Like the hundreds of other bets they surely placed.]

[pengeen]

[He laughs]

I promise I won't tell her.

[He stops and places a hand on his chin]

What should the wager be this time?

... Hmm.

[He pauses as well, thinking.]

If I win, you must steal a pair of Sakuma's underwear, and admit to it on the network.

[Wow how embarrassing]

Alright. If I win, you have to declare your burning love for Sakuma over the network, and you have to make it as convincing as possible.
