If what this letter says is true, then my world has apparently been destroyed. You'll excuse me if I call that a load of bull. Maybe it's denial, but I can't accept that, not after everything that's happened. Not after what my allies and I went through in the Lockdown to save it.

So, long story short, does anyone know who or what was responsible for supposedly destroying all of our worlds? I need to have a word with them. Thank you in advance for hearing me out.

Oh, um, does anyone know who's responsible for the cafeteria, by the way? I'd like to have a word with them about this oatmeal, too. I mean, I get that everyone's worlds have ended, so it's probably kinda hard to get supplies, but would it kill them to put in a little salt, for crying out loud? Thanks!

Ah, unfortunately, the oatmeal has to stay plain for that first time you eat it. Afterwards, though, it's fair enough to eat whatever else we have around and season it how you like!

Usually we're a bit short on variety, but from what I've seen it's a bit better this month than usual.

I'm continually surprised by how common this sentiment is. Nobody believes the destruction, we won't ever be told the truth about what happened to our worlds, and if you feel you can take on those in control then be my guest. It will be a fool's errand, however. You will die, and come back just to die again.

Honestly, with all these brazen hero-types we have here, I'm surprised we haven't progressed more with mapping this tower out, at the very least.

I've taken on some pretty tough things and won. I think I can take these - whatever they are. And hey, if death isn't permanent, then that means you can just keep trying, right? I just can't sit by and let all of those efforts be in vain.

I've also fought some 'pretty tough things' in the form of gods. Many people here, indeed, are strong fighters who did their best to save their respective worlds.

And we have made little progress. These people are capable of taking away our power- and even taking away the power of the gods that are here.

Your notion is brave, but I can't say I endorse it.

[Understandable enough. Lucifer understands the technology well enough, although not to a point where he could make it perfectly unbreakable to talented enough hackers. He supposes that if you wanted true privacy in conversation he could teleport to where you are, but he'd rather like to continue to hide his true nature as well as he can for now.

And oh. He does not dig Lawbies either. He's quite glad to see he might get along with you just fine.]

For all the technology and power those in charge here have shown, I would not be surprised if they perhaps had something to destroy worlds. Using it however would be a different order entirely.

And as I said. I have no reason to believe they tell the truth or to trust in their so called benevolence.

Easier said than done. I don't know how to create or revive worlds. Besides, there'd still be the matter of getting back the people who are lost...though in some cases that might not be such a bad thing.
