[Hey, there's a face...that hasn't been seen for a while. Why haven't you been seen for a while, Asako?]

So... 'hem. To those who I haven't met before, hi, I'm Asako Minegishi, and I'm here to deliver a warning. If you go too deep into the ball pit, you're probably gonna drown.

And yes, I did find this out the hard way. Unfortunately. So...yeah, even if it's a lot of fun, be careful there, okay?

That's all~

Demon seeks good summoner.

[Zett's calm when he makes this post, with a hint of a smile on his face.]

Experience with dealing with demons specifically a plus, but any type of spirit summoner will be considered. Mostly looking for someone who can match me in a fight and who I can feel good about entrusting my strength to. Also someone who won't lock me in a COMP all day. I've got family to see, you know?

To discuss in person, contact Zett Takajo, Baal Zebul, in the library.

[It's been decided that Zett's ultimately going to join up with Asako, but he'd like to talk to other summoners as well!]

[There's an audible chime, like a cheery voicemail tone, from every terminal simultaneously, before text appears on the screen.]

Good afternoon, Tower of Animus. My name is The Observer. I've got a special message for you today, direct from one of our beloved administrators. Please read, listen to, and memorize this message, and reproduce it wherever you can!

Cut for long but very important message. )

Wasn't that a special little message? Now, copy it down in your notes so you don't forget it! No matter whom you're allied with, be it Pandora, Ganondorf, your friends from home, or just yourself! There will be a test on this.

And the first section of the test is this - I want you to place at least one copy of this message somewhere in the tower. No points for hiding it! It has to be visible to everyone! In a few days I'll tell you all how you did, and I'll repeat this message for you lazy people who didn't see or hear this today.

That's all for now!

- The Observer

[All characters with mailboxes will find a copy of the message in their mail as of this evening.]

This is a bit embarrassing, but does anyone know where to find a prosthetic leg or cane? I got into a tangle with one of those new monsters recently and, well, that about explains it, don't you think? Of course I plan to put in a request, but I don't feel much like hopping everywhere in the meantime. Hopping is fun, but it's a lousy way to get around. Thanks for hearing me out.

PS: to the person who rescued me - thank you, and thanks to your friend. Sorry for the trouble.
[Yes, she's calling Minato's persona a friend, because what is a persona anyway?]

Provide your name, skill/ability, and when you're available.

[No apologies for that keysmash. Reimu had to punch Marisa away from the terminal.]

If I'm right, it's coming up on a year for me since I arrived. Just about three more months, I think.

So, I'd like to pose a question to anyone who has been here longer than I:

How do you deal with it? How do you deal with the ennui, the endless stretches of nothing when the administrators aren't up to tricks? How do you deal with knowing you might never leave?

I had a purpose back home, but here I do not. I am not even a pawn anymore. It's a sad day when you miss being a pawn, isn't it?

Is this how a puppet feels when its strings are cut and it is thrown into the trash?

...Sorry. I just really needed to vent, in the end. Even if it was just over the network. Then again, it's kind of like the internet in that respect, when you think about it.

Thanks for hearing me out. Well, if you didn't, that's fine too. I know I probably sound like a whiny teenager. (Well, I AM a teenager, but that's beside the point, don't you think?) :)

[He's been staring and prodding at the terminal for the longest time, wanting to at least have a basic grasp of its function before fiddling too much with it, though as of right this moment, Barbossa will fully admit (privately) that he really doesn't understand it. Witchery, devilry, some sort of voodoo...He's not entirely sure, and really, given the circumstances, he doesn't really care. What matters is that he's pretty sure it's for communication. And communicate he will.

There are far more important things afoot, thanks to the letter he's tucked haphazardly into the sash around his waist, because in it, the worst is delivered. He cares not for the world, but his ship...That's enough to make his blood boil.

But none of that shows on his face - for now. He's already raged privately, before deciding it is, plainly and simply, false. Instead, he looks more than a little amused at the circumstances, as he taps thoughtfully at the screen with one long, black nail.]

So, it do seem me home managed to get itself blown apart like a dinghy hit with chain shot. Funny, that. [He doesn't believe a word of it, and it's evident in his tone, and the quirk of his mouth.] Ye'd figure there'd be a tad more warning. Trumpets. Horsemen. Jack Sparrow running away from the scene of the crime. Alas, can't say as I remember a speck of any of that.

So what be the truth of it, aye? Did our saviors rapture us from our dying homes, convinced of our purity and contriteness? Be we the lambs before the slaughter? [Hilarious.] Nay, there be more to it than that. And since it seems ye have me at a disadvantage, I'd be thankful for some...Insight.

A good day to you all.

I have heard that there is a case of the flu going around. The flu is no good at all. You should all stay in bed and eat warm foods.

If everyone would be so kind, I would like a list of people who are sick in bed. I plan to cook some stew this evening and tomorrow, and would like to make enough to share with those of you who are sick. I can also deliver it, if you would like.

If anyone has free hands for assisting with the cooking then I would appreciate that as well. Thank you very much. Let us who are still healthy stay that way.

[...It seems as though someone that is not accustomed to such illnesses has come down with a nasty flu. The last couple of days he's just stayed in his room, tried to get warm with the blankets around him but it was no use. He didn't understand, he wasn't supposed to get sick.... can one that was never meant to exist even get sick?

On this particular day it's the same, but... something is definitely off about him.]

If anyone is in need of some assistance due to this.... [ah, what's a good word for it?] ...epidemic, tell me and I will help in any way possible.

[Wait, this wasn't right, he's completely evil and yet he's wanting to help people? Strange!]

Do not be afraid to ask, I'll do whatever I can.... [even though he's sick himself.]

[ First and foremost - Yukki looks awful. His eyes are bloodshot and have bags under them, apparently from a lack of sleep. His face is sickly pale, the area under his nose and above his top lip look chapped, and despite the fact that he's shivering, his forehead and hair are damp with sweat. Whatever's been stressing him out, it's definitely not helping him get any better. Despite the fact that he looks and feels like crap, he dragged himself here against medical advice.

It's obvious in the way his typing is absolute fail right now. ]

yuon wheer are yu?o

[ He's freaking out. ]

[ A coughing spell. He brings a tissue to his mouth for a second, if you're nearby and can see/hear it. He flips open his phone, looks like he's to panic, and sends out one last frantic message. ]

[For some, anonymity is a good thing. In Asako's case, it can and will be used to get some things off her chest - especially in the wake of the Shadow event.]

What do you do when you find out that something very important to you was a lie?

I mean, I'm trying to accept it. I'm not gonna freak out on anyone or anything, don't worry about that. But I'm feeling kind of numb now. Like something I was relying on is just...gone, now, and everything's drifting.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, is it normal to feel that way?

Thanks for hearing me out.

[The feed turns on to show a young 'girl' blushing brightly. 'She' shyly averts her eyes and can't quite look at the camera at first then 'she' takes a deep breath and looks into the camera with renewed confidence. 'Her' filters should work after all. This programming prodigy has written the codes 'herself' after all and checked them numerous times. That doesn't stop 'her' from stammering though. This is so embarrassing! But it's been troubling 'her' for a while now and since 'she' has decided to be strong and not run away from anything anymore...]

A-ano... does... does anyone know how one can tell if... if a friendship is perhaps more than just a friendship? How do you tell if you perhaps like someone... more than a friend? How do you know if that person feels the same way or not? I...

[There's a pause... then a frantic...] T-Thank you very much for your kind attention!

((Edit: Forward dated to 1 Sept when filters don't fail... orz))

[Lina is on the network once again, this time with a proper question rather than overreacting over something.]

I know there's other magic-users here - I'm curious if any of you have tried to use your magic to get out of here. I've tried several times so far - different spells and locations, and only gotten my powers taken away and a lot of shocks for my trouble. [She scowls a bit, then huffs.] That said, trying to get out by force, even if it's magical seems to be a lost cause - so I'm wondering if anyone else might have some kind of alternative methods to consider using. Has anyone tried teleportation magic, for starters?

Hello, Tower.

If what this letter says is true, then my world has apparently been destroyed. You'll excuse me if I call that a load of bull. Maybe it's denial, but I can't accept that, not after everything that's happened. Not after what my allies and I went through in the Lockdown to save it.

So, long story short, does anyone know who or what was responsible for supposedly destroying all of our worlds? I need to have a word with them. Thank you in advance for hearing me out.

It seems I haven't introduced myself. Sorry about that.

[With that, the video flickers on, showing a girl with blue hair, blue eyes, odd headphones...and a long black cape. From the video, it looks like she's in the cafeteria already. She also looks pretty calm and wide-eyed for someone who was just implicitly threatening violence against people and/or creatures.] My name's Asako Minegishi, and if the circumstances were better, I'd say it's nice to meet you all.

Oh, um, does anyone know who's responsible for the cafeteria, by the way? I'd like to have a word with them about this oatmeal, too. I mean, I get that everyone's worlds have ended, so it's probably kinda hard to get supplies, but would it kill them to put in a little salt, for crying out loud? Thanks!

[...She's got a pretty cheery voice for someone who was just threatening violence, too. She grins for the camera, waves, and turns it off.

Tower, meet one of your newest residents.]
