H-hey! What's going on here?!

[ A voice penetrated the networks, somewhat strained. Someone might have been running around a little too much after getting up in a strange room.

She didn't even give a second thought to where she was going, until she found the library. The library had those strange techie things that she had always noticed in Facility from time to time. It reminded her of her Faciliberry, in which did not function correctly. She couldn't reach anyone beyond that.

On top of that, she wasn't quite sure what to believe right now. Could Val be playing a trick on her again, or was this really happening?

She furrowed her brows. ]

Val this isn't funny. I'm not laughing.....where is everyone? Yujinn? Zero? Maka?

[ she mused softly.... ]

This....can't be happening.... again.

[ What is going on?! Ishtar was beyond confused at this whole situation. First Yusuke, and now him. She remembered him briefly. They have spoken only a couple of times. ]

Hei.....right?

[ There's a soft pause. ]

What is going on here?!

Apparently we were somehow taken from the facility and into this place. Aside from us, Yusuke is also here, and the only other one who knows of the facility's actions.

The letter said that Facility had been destroyed....is that even a possibility? Not that I am complaining......

[ She mused looking down. ]

Yeah, I've spoken to him, somewhat. It's kind of surprising to see the people you knew be terminated and coming up here.

Possibly, but then you suddenly showed up, while me and Yusuke appeared roughly the same time. It does make me think they are hiding more on this, or the facility and the tower are linked.

[He pauses.]

...I hate to ask of this so soon, but you knew of Lucy, right?

Yeah, it makes me kind of wonder if this is a serious situation, or Val's pulling one of those on us again. I can't say I'm excited to know that Facility was destroyed, especially with all those people.

[ She closed her eyes. ]

Maybe, it seems like they are or something....

[ She blinked at the mention of Lucy. ]

Yes, I do. I guess we were kind of friends? What about her?

I don't think Val has control of this situation. There are scientists, actual humans or beings that look like them at least. I saw four beings when they...experimented on me for an entire month.

[His eyes are downcast from that, and even worse as he has a bad feeling with Lucy.]

She and I, we were together, until she lost her memory. If a time gap does exist, then...I'm afraid of what might have happened to her.

[There is sincerity in Hei's voice, something he never revealed to many people. It was very clear Hei cared deeply about Lucy.]

It doesn't seem like it anymore...so I can agree with you on that.

[ She paused before making a face. ]

There's experiments...here too?

[ That was the first thing that came out of her mouth when she heard him say that. Ishtar glanced at him, though, waiting for him to continue. She knew he asked about Lucy, and she was pretty sure it was something important. ]

What...do you mean she lost her memory?

[ Her eyes might have widened in surprise. ] ...I don't know if I want to think about time gaps.

[ It made her think about the people she cared about that were in Facility with her. If they forgot her.... She could tell that he was serious when he said that, and he was pretty concerned about Lucy. ]

[He nods, closing his eyes.]

According to residents of this tower, some have been here for months, and during those months, they are taken away for challenges or experiments. During the last one, a competition was held between three of the scientists. The experiments themselves made no sense at all, even by facility standards. Those experiments I could at least make some sense, even if I don't agree with them.

[And he was gonna leave out the specifics, less she asked; he doubted she would though.]

She isn't here, but back there, she forgot all about me. I have a letter from her, but if there is a time gap, then--[He shook his head, noting how distressed Ishtar was getting. There was no need to make her worry for his own problems. If Lucy wasn't here, then there was no point in talking about it.]

Nevermind. The main point now is determining who else is here in the tower that we know of. Based on my investigations, the original people some of those in the facility were based off of, are here, like Ryoji and Minako.

...Not that Facility experiments made much sense to begin with. They were either out of curiosity or they felt like being assholes....but I guess you do have a point there, seeing I hardly know much about this place.

[ Ishtar wasn't someone that pried into other people's lives, so she would just take what was given and leave it at that. There was no need to further upset someone she hardly knew. ]

...Oh...you mean there?

[ she mused looking confused, though she can somewhat grasp what he was trying to tell her. ] I see....Facility tends to do that to people....I've had a couple of my friends not remembering me as well. It's not pleasant, so I know how you feel.

[ She mused with a a small smile. She was concerned for him, but she didn't really have a right to help him, until she knew him better. ]

Really? That's got to be something....I think you're right. We're going to have to look into this....

[He didn't respond much to the smile. Finding out what happened with those time gaps was useless for now, least in their current condition. They needed time to think of more things, less they make mistakes and end up worsening their minds. His needed to be clear, no matter how muddled it was with depressing thoughts now.]

With any luck, an opportunity will present itself. Based on time in the pods, people appeared to be working together. There must be a group similar to our own that are working to escape, or uncover the truth.

[ Even though, he didn't respond to it, she offered it still, in hopes that he might feel a little better. They may not be friends, but it wasn't wrong to start now. At least, to Ishtar it seemed that way. ]

Ah, I see, so it's similar in some ways, but different in their own rights. I hope that the opportunity is soon. It would be sad if anyone else had to end up here from Facility as well...

The least we can hope for them is that they are safe elsewhere.

[Maybe not from the facility, but they could at least avoid the tower, which had been filled with danger. Maybe it had been at a slower pace, but not a lot of people were handling all of this well.]

I will keep looking into this. Until then, use this time to collect your bearings if you need to. And be warned of three important things: One, you must eat the oatmeal here, as your body will reject all other food before you eat it. And two, monsters roam this tower of various sizes and powers. Knowing Yusuke, I'm sure you'll find him trying to fight the creatures.

The last are the floors of the tower, which are never the same exactly. Think of them as nothing more than a new area.

I hope for that as well. I hope that all of them are safe somewhere.

[ She replied with a nod of her head. The tower didn't sound like a safe place from what she heard, and it clearly wasn't a place she would venture towards when she had other things to do. ]

Alright, please tell me what you find. I will try my best to be of some use as well.

Ah, oatmeal? That sounds really strange, but okay. Jeez, it's one bad thing after another isn't it?

[ She sighed. ] I got ya. I'll try my best to avoid trouble when I can. Okay....I got it, and thank you again Hei, for all that information.
