-So is this how it works?

[On the screen is a small girl, looking about 13, dressed in green and far away from her home. Her eyes glance down a few times, reading the piece of paper in her lap and following its every instruction. Clearly the word technology is foreign to her, let alone the ability to use it.]

Good thing the letter is so thorough, I would've never learned to use this by myself. Of course, I could always be talking to myself instead. I really hope not.

[She lets out a small nervous laugh, but she really does mean it. Just knowing anyone else was out there.]

It's so quiet here, I can't hear anything. Not even the faintest calling from the spirits. Everything here is so cold and hard, so different from the forest. It's actually a little scary...but I guess it's the way things have to be.

[Her eyes saddened a little. This was all real, she could feel it deep down. But then there was always a harder truth to accept.]

What that letter said, about home being destroyed, I don't believe it's a lie. After all, everything passes in time. But for there to have been so little left...I failed in my duties. I'm so sorry everyone.

[As a Sage, she should've been able to see this destruction come. She should've been able to do something...]

If anyone can hear me, my name is Saria. I'm looking for my friends. There are the Sages like myself: Rauru, Darunia, Ruto, Impa, Nabooru, and Princess Zelda; the other Kokiri children....Link....If any of those sound familiar, please let me know.

If you're the kind that needs a forest or some such, there's plenty of floors that have those frilly trees and flowers and other stuff for you nature loving types.

As for those 'friends'... I've met a Zelda before in this tower, I am sure she is alive, she seemed the type to not give up no matter what. Not that you die permanently here but still!

And there's been more than one Link around, at least by name. I can't recall any of those other names however.

[Veigar seems unusually helpful! It's probably the bond between short things.]

[Aleph's getup is also unusual, mostly the visor and the weird machine he has strapped to one arm. He looks friendly, though.]

I'll keep an eye out for any of those names. I'm afraid I just got here, so I don't know many of the people who came before me.

...I-I know Zelda. And, um, Link. Well...one Link. [Zelda had told her there were others, around the tower, although Tara had never found them.

After a pause, she adds in a much softer, much less confident sort of voice.]

It...it is hard to ignore, isn't it? When you're so used to just...knowing that everything's there, and then it's not.

D-Doesn't help that, um, m-my world almost got destroyed a lot.

I would not trust the words of our supposed "saviors" so easily, Forest Sage. They have not proven themselves to be benevolent or trustworthy during my months here.

[It's hard, trying to be business-like when there's that primal sense of joy deep down at seeing a familiar face - one from Hyrule as she knows it, not Skyloft or the Great Sea or whatever else might be in store for her country - but it's important, for Saria's safety.

But she does lighten up slightly to respond to her call for her friends.]

None of the other Sages are here, to my knowledge, but both Link and I are. And we are well, for the most part.

[Physically, at least. Mentally is another story.]

I blamed myself a whole lot for not being able to do anyfin when I first got here - I was the heiress to my planet's throne, the Witch of Life, but I was powerless to do anything. [Saria smiles. She wasn't trying to make a grown up nervous.]

Nothing can prepare you for when it actually happens. Not when you tried so hard to stop it.

Princess Zelda. [Saria bowed her head in respect, but the expression on her face was overjoyed. The leader of the Sages was alive. She had heard but to actually see and hear the princess.]

Why do you say that? Has something happened?

[~~So many fish puns...is she speaking to Ruto?~~]

[Saria listened to Feferi's story. She wasn't the only one who felt this way, the only one who lost something important.]

Thank you Feferi, for everything. I'm sorry you lost so much too, but you're right. The best I can do now is help however I can. [Because that's what she always does.]

Is that so? I'm glad she isn't that old, I wouldn't have been able to recognize her. [She had no idea the princess had a child. Let alone a lineage.] Thank you for letting me know.

The Koriri are the children of the forest. We've live under the protection of the Great Deku Tree for generations. Surely you must've heard of him.

Oh yeah, I heard'a him! No Kokiri though, he's got the Koroks. At least, he does now anyway.

If you're not afraid, then you already have a big advantage over this place.

[He wouldn't push the fact that it seemed this place liked feeding off your fears and would sometimes reenact them. That was always a damper on conversations.]

Death's not permanent, or at least I haven't met someone who has permanently died anyways. I do know a few who have died a multitude of times and still come back.

It's... odd, interesting though. If you die, you eventually end up alive again.

If you see a woman named Hiroko, could you point her out to me?

Nah. S-Sometimes, um, people show up from home. Or, um...places kind of like home.

It is unfortunate that they have picked one so little and innocent to be in a place such as this. Have faith in knowing that you are not alone and we all share the same fate as you do, now. It looks that the fact of our homes is truth. While some do wish to ignore or disbelieve, I personally do believe that is the truth, but there is hope for a new start.

The Koroks? I've never heard of them. [Strange. She thought she knew all the creatures that lived in the forest.] What are they like?

I only visited once but they were little tree people. Like, they actually looked like little trees. Link knows more about 'em than I do since he visited the island more than I have. The small Link I mean, he call himself 'Sea' here since there's a bunch'a other Links here too.
