As far as I know, SBURB was supposed to save the world, but we are clearly not in the game. We didn’t enter it, at the very least. We are somewhere that is not of our home.

The world is going to get taken over by a fish alien. She's already there, but she hasn't made her move yet. Long story short, she kills everyone and floods the planet. Me and Jake got displaced 400 years, so we didn't arrive on Earth until well after she killed every single human she could reach.
It's the only reason we know not to trust the Batterwitch.
