We have taken the liberty of doing some research into the Tower's history and past trends, in hopes of uncovering something about the way this place operates, or solving one of the many mysteries that surrounds it. It would greatly benefit us if you could lend your assistance and help us with our research; the more people that answer the better, as it gives us more data to work with.

We understand that someone's probably sick of these kind of forms, questions and questionnaires, but we've done our best to compile the data from the past ones and hopefully not make it too repetitive, and get to the heart of the matter:

For souls... a lot of this is just kind of research I've heard through various people plus experimentation I've done myself. Think of a soul like a battery - it's got a lot of potential energy. Humans stay that way. No exceptions. Even if it looks like they're doing magic it's not their own energy.

Supernatural creatures have abilities that can 'hook up' to the battery. It's basically stamina-based, so eating food and resting and that stuff replenishes it.

As I said before, human souls are all potential energy. Having one (or some kind of 'magical artifact' which is usually something that has a soul in it somehow) lets you use that energy for your abilities as a boost. After the age of fourteen or sixteen though the potential energy of a soul starts to decrease - it loses its 'freshness' or whatever you want to call it. Peak 'energy' is between the ages of seven or eight and fourteen or sixteen.

And yes. There is a trade market for the souls of human children, as creepy as that sounds.

Any Theories as to the Meaning of the Collars: Unfortunately, none - I got too focused on trying to find a way to help everyone get out. The majority of people whose collar colors I had noted down are long-gone, and that wasn't very many to start with.

and then mister jason i think it was him though we never saw him he stole some of us and did experiments like those other ones but just with eight of us and then he did things to everyone else so they got scared or mad at us and then everyone tried to kill us and we died

but then we woke up again and things were better but everyone was really sad and miss italy and mister dean who had been hurt by the bad people had disappeared and that was really sad

then a bit later miss ruana started talking to us but she pretended to be little and scared and then said she would let us all go home but she lied because she is bad and sent us to scary bad places that loked like our homes but werent and they were bad shes the baddest i think because she tricked everyone and is really bad and i dont like her and then it was christmas but not at the right time because my world does it different than mollys and we were going to celebrate both but before my christmas lots and lots of monsters attacked and everything went really scary and we were in one room with lots of monsters and everyone had to fight but mollys powers didnt work when she was near them

and then we all woked up and then molly disappeared and i know that means shes on her world now but then we didnt know for sure and there was lots of monsters in the tower now and they would eat you if you got too close then we all had to take candles and there was a demon and we had to stand in salt and it was even more scary and there was some chocolates later on and i wanted to make friends with this man called l but he made the monsters kill me and lots of scary things happened and we had teddy bears too and id never had a teddy bear before but then we had to go to another place and the teddy bears looked for us and said it was a game but everyone died and i died because spiders ate me and everyone was really scared and not able to keep their spirits up

I was only here around a week when I began feeling strange, I became suspicious of everyone and believed everyone wished to hurt me... It got worse and...

I felt like I wanted to kill those who had been experimented on, but I am a Kirin and... I felt both compulsions pulling me in different directions. Signless wished to try and enter the lower levels and I helped since I can move through solid matter. My collar was for a time changed to an anklet but I do not know why. I was able to move through the locked elevator, but... sorry we all died... my collar was changed back and I have not been able to enter that elevator again...

There was also a time when we were sent to our worlds, sorry I am not sure if it was true or not but I think it was perhaps an illusion. There was a monster attack and the strange ritual with the demon.

Sorry I had blood sickness a lot during this time so I cannot remember much, however during the time when we were killed by the teddy bears I...

I died by drowning in blood and when I woke up I had no bloodsickness at all. I felt better than I had in months, like no blood had been spilled around me at all.

I then went to my world but I returned and went into a room with three others, we had to solve puzzles under the threat of death.

Where I come from, a soul is seen as the essence of a living being; it is their spirit, their mind and their psyche all in one. Special souls have special abilities that allow them to cast magic.

Do you know why you were suspicious of everyone? Did you fill out the survey that sorted everyone into groups? We believe those groups had to do with some sort behavior modification experiment.

In addition, can you explain what exactly a "kirin" is? Or what it is you do?

When they die, the soul ascends to Heaven for judgment, unless they have been pledged to a denizen of The Darkness either by their own choice, unfortunate circumstance, or trickery, or are somehow bound or bind themselves to Earth. When judged, they are sorted into the appropriate places in Sheol, and may remain there or reincarnate. It has been a very long time since the workings of Sheol were explained to me, so I do not know if there are any restrictions on such.

We think there's a meaning, yes. In the past, problems were seen to have cropped up when someone normally with one color was given the fluid of another. Physical problems, and issues with keeping powers in control. We'd like to provoke more discussion on the matter.

Any Theories as to the Meaning of the Collars: At first I thought it was likely that it had something due to power, but then I realized the fluid color may have something to do with what's keeping our souls bound here. The collars changing colors gave us a hint, as did someone's wish for theirs to be removed. Those either with few supernatural abilities or weaker wills are lower on the color scale are closer to orange on the color scale, and those who are stronger in will and who'd pose a threat or with something that could cause serious harm are closer to violet.

For example: Normal humans are orange, where gods are violet. Persona users vary between orange and violet depending on their strengths of heart.

Changing the colors had averse effects. Those who were warmer on the scale that went closer to violet began to have difficulties moving, and those on the cooler side of the spectrum that were changed to more warm colors were lightheaded and more prone to out-of-body experiences or losing control of their powers.

Finally, some noted that it grew harder to control said powers when there were no collar checkups while the "administrators" abandoned the tower.

That's all I've been able to gather thus far by observing.
