I ain't sure walkin' around swingin' axe blades at anybody behind me is all that safe. But I can't really just stick anythin' on there and hope for the best.

What do people usually use if they wanna put some kinda guard on a weapon? [Counting off the following points on metallic fingers:] It's gotta be somethin' that ain't gonna get in the way of the thrusters, easy t' get off in an emergency, and lightweight so it don't throw me off balance.

Hell if I know. Rubber might be hard to find but I'm sure there's cardboard somewhere. Everyone has to use it at some point.

Depending on the shape, it probably wouldn't be too difficult to make something to fit over the blades. I believe axe sheaths were made out of leather before there were stronger synthetic materials available.

It's kinda big and double-bladed, so I'd need a lotta whatever I ended up usin'.

There's a workshop on the 15th floor that has some materials. I'm pretty sure I saw leather there. How big is your weapon, exactly?

[At first, Lancer really hadn't had any intention on learning how to use the network, but with so many people telling him he should because it's a useful tool and Lady Amano so graciously offering to teach him how, Lancer really isn't too surprised to find himself messing around with it one day. If nothing else he can at least find out just how badly he does so that he can tell Lady Amano where she has to start.

He is pleasantly surprised to find that after a few minutes that he might not be so bad at this as he thought. While he hasn't figured out anything fancy, he has found a familiar face and post to try his new skills out on.]

[Labrys stepped back from the camera and turned around, showing the folded axe blades fixed to her back somewhat like wings.]

Basically it's got mechanisms in it that I can use to fly as long as it's attached t' me like this.

T-that's amazing, though I'm not so sure why I find it so hard to believe. I didn't have that much trouble when you told me about what you were after all.

We definitely need to spend some time fighting together. I would really like to see how you use it.

Unfortunately, it is far to odd a weapon for me to help you with your question. I'm sorry. It's a shame you cannot just summon and unsummon it like servants can with their weapons.
