Is it possible to access the locked elevator without the clear- or red-collared workers' "assistance"?

It is just a matter of finding the right area.

Then finding our way to the labyrinth may just be possible...

[Seems someone is pacing around behind Shou while reading, and thought to lean over him and give his piece.]

Even if we are unsuccessful, it would give us an opportunity to understand the layout of this place. We may be able to learn more about it's layout...

All that said, why the sudden interest in their elevator?

Perhaps you have not yet noticed... The maintainers are playing another game with us. Yesterday, a fair number of people were taken to a labyrinth where they have been told they must fight to the last man.

There... are children among them, as well as many of my friends.

Should I be able to open the elevator, I hope to find a way into the labyrinth and help those who are trapped inside escape.

I was not aware, no. [He sighs, then shakes his head before glancing back toward Philip.] We were working on getting settled back in. Looks like we won't even get a chance to do that.

[Settled back in...? Odd, but not something she needs to know right now. She nods in response.]

I am grateful for your assistance, but I feel I must warn you that I have no idea what dangers we might face on the other side. Are you able to defend yourselves?

If there's a chance to help the other residents out, the danger doesn't matter.
