Is it possible to access the locked elevator without the clear- or red-collared workers' "assistance"?

[Fado had been sitting beside Zelda, out of view of the camera and sitting in a chair from the terminal nearby. He hadn't gotten much sleep either-- not only worrying about the well-being of the inhabitants, but keeping the Princess from sinking into despair or flipping into a rage.

His usual smile was replaced with a bit of a frown as he watched her contact the network, and he idly fidgeted with the bow of his violin for a moment before breaking the silence on his end.]

...I do not mean to doubt your judgment-- and by far you have had more experience here than I-- but are you certain of what you intend to do?

[Fortunately (?), her planning has kept her focused - almost religiously so. The previous day had been spent in a horrified panic, but now she has something to devote her energy to. She has hope, however small and unlikely, and she is grabbing onto that hope with all her might.

She does not look at him when she speaks, instead continuing to stare at her terminal intently.]

There are children in that place, Fado. I cannot sit idly by and just... watch as they are forced to fight one another. The Tower is trying to turn us against each other and--

[Hoo, getting a bit emotional there. She stops, takes a deep breath, and forces her stoic mask back on.]

What they're doing is without a doubt immoral-- [And he certainly didn't like watching it any more than she did!] But I am simply concerned for yours and the safety of others. Given the... questionable designs of those in charge, an all out attack like this may simply prove to upset them further.

Who's to say you have to smash the door, anyway? An elevator has a shaft, yes? Why not break through the wall? Surely that's the weaker opponent, of the two.

My fear is that breaking through the wall nearby may not lead us to the same place the elevator would.

[The hero had been wandering about the tower this morning, trying to think of what she could do to help those deep in the labyrinth - she cannot sponsor them like others can, and as far as she knows, it's inaccessible.

... She hadn't meant to eavesdrop on the princess, of course - hiding off to the side until the princess was finished with her conversations - but she steps up after it all, nervously twirling a bit of her hair. Though, she does look rather determined.]

[The Princess tenses when she hears that voice, the one so similar to her own and yet so different all the same. She need not turn to know who it belongs to.

So she doesn't, instead keeping her eyes intently trained on the terminal screen. She has bigger problems than the hero to deal with at the moment.]

You could say that, yes. At the very least, I shall not be sitting here and watching my loved ones fight to the death.

[Thank the Goddesses, someone familiar. Though Zelda may question some of the actions the hero of the Sky may take at times, at least she knows he is combat capable and overwhelmingly altruistic.
