The elevator's got no business being there. There's no room for it.

Why is it always elevators, anyway. Why can't we get some sort of tragic accident on a staircase for once. Or roboguards freaking out on staircases. Or a hatch you got to open to the outside world in a stairwell.

Given this place's fondness for bending and breaking the typical laws of the world, I am not surprised. That said, I... cannot say I am terribly familiar with the mechanics of such things as a whole.
