General, I've got good news and bad news. Got somewhere private enough that we can talk?

So, uh, I got a question for you guys. Anybody know where I can get a sword around here? Mine seems to have not made the trip with me and it feels weird to not have it, so...[sheepish look is go] I'd just really appreciate it if I could get a new one or something. Or if somebody could tell me they've seen my old one. It's about six feet long, weighs around 50 pounds...pretty hard to miss, but I can't find it anywhere.

[Zack is...not actually noticing? He's never met Equius before so he's kind of assuming he's just shy or something. Whoops.]

[He is, technically. But spending eight days basically sitting around and waiting to have a nervous breakdown, which would then reach around into a murderous rampage every so often, has kind of taken a toll on his psyche.]

Did you. Um. Just come here?

[He mentioned the sword was six feet long, and that was enough for Equius to approximate into troll measurements, even if he didn't really... know what determined a foot from a meter on Earth. Even when he's on the verge of mental collapse he still has to be a little math genius.]

[Eight days of waiting for a nervous breakdown would wreak havoc on anyone's psyche, really, so it's understandable. Sadly, Zack is not seeing those signs just yet...maybe if he'd been here before the change took place, he'd see them, but as it is...no dice.]

...um, also, you could try asking for it in the box on the bottom floor... that's a request box. And, usually, what you request does come to you in time.

[Doesn't mean he wouldn't make a good friend. Zack is of the mind that everyone makes a good friend with enough time. ...Even if they didn't see any of that Labyrinth mess and can't relate to it.]

There a catch to that box? Or is it really just as easy as asking and waiting a while?

It... really is. I've only used it once, but...

[Without getting into TLDR-worthy troll nonsense, he asked for a thing, and got a variant of it that was very clearly referential to his BFF which the Tower had taken away from him a few months before. Had a breakdown about that one too.]

...it would be your best bet, if no one can make a sword to your liking.

[So it basically gives you want you want, but sends you on an emotional whirlwind when you get it. That's...fair.]

[Oh, this person seems... sane. And at no time in the past had Equius killed him on accident. This is a very big improvement compared to the rest of his social interaction for the past week and a half.]

[Very Fair. (He walks into those a lot.) Hopefully his luck holds out better than it did before, then. All they can do is wait and see.

Um, yes. A pleasure to meet you, too. [He didn't really look like his heart was in it, though. It seems he's just been talking for long enough to ground himself in courtesies.]

What kind of a sword was it? I... might be able to recreate a mechanical one for you. [Of course, it would need a lot of stabilizing just to make sure it doesn't fall apart when Zack throws it at something, but he's used that technology for robots before. The weight could be easily adjusted to fit what he was used to in the old sword. ...Yes, mecha-weapon creation is a long and difficult art, but he's made plenty of bows and arrows for himself, so it could work on a sword.]

[Zack is used to colder folk, so it doesn't really bug him that there's little to no heart in that statement. He's used to it, and it rolls off his back like water. As for the rest...]

It's a broadsword, a really big one. Can something that big really be recreated like that?

[It's an honest question, not a jab at Equius's skills. They made mechanical giant cannons in Zack's world, but those things fell apart easy. Swords that see more use? He's...not sure.]

It should be, yes.

[Okay, so maybe he just really wants a project to distract himself with right now. And even though giving weapons to people isn't really the best thing to do when he's looking out for his safety, maybe this will earn him favor with the guy. And, to be honest, judging from his personality he really doesn't seem like the type who knows how to use a sword anyway.]

Can you... give me any more details on it? Specific measurements? Weight? Style possibly, if you're concerned with it?

[Oh, it would probably definitely earn him a favor with Zack, though he's no doubt going to be surprised to see that he can swing a sword with the best of them. Actually hitting things, on the other hand...well. That's up for debate.]

Uh...well, I never measured it exactly, but it's just under six feet long, about a foot wide, and weighs around fifty pounds. You want a sketch or something? I can't really describe how it's supposed to look.

[And it's not like he's got a photo of the thing. Who takes photos of their sword?]

Well, I only need a description of what it looks like if you... um, cared. Like, if you wanted it to resemble the original.

...But... I can work with what you've given me. Thank you. [And he really is grateful. Something to do, finally!]

What it looks like isn't really important, it's the way the weight's spread out...hang on. [He ends up leaving the terminal for a minute, coming back with a crude sketch of this held up to the camera.]

If you can get it to look like this, I'll owe you a big one. Probably more than one, too.

[He nods, scribbling some things down on a handy piece of paper; it's impossible to see what, though, since all the terminal can capture is a bobbling pencil and him looking down.] That should be fine.

...Um, I'll contact you if I need anything, Zack. Or when I'm finished, of course.

[At that, Zack nods with a big grin on his face. Sure, it won't be the exact same thing but it's a sword. He'll owe Equius big for this, and he's okay with that.]

Sure thing. You need anything, you just let me know. I'll help anyway that I can.

Okay, um... you'll need to test the weight, obviously. I have scales, but... [Well, he's got all the strength of a limp noodle, so for practical use he's worthless.]

But you've gotta test these things. I know how it goes, man; a sword's pretty useless if it's knocking you over and not what you're trying to hit.

[ooc: I was under the impression it would take a few days for Equius to make it, so...a new post would be best, if you're okay with that!]
