He tinkers with this odd stone for a moment or two before his confused image suddenly appears upon screen. Looking quite unsure and almost fearful of this object, Haldir speaks in a low hushed tone. ]

Mani naa ta? [ He murmured to himself, not entirely sure if this weird stone was active or not.] I've seen anything like it before...

Is this some sort of sorcery?

[ Still studying this odd thing with curious gaze, Haldir accidentally sets the communicator upside down as he speaks into it. ]

Hello? Does this ridiculous thing truly work?

[ A frustrated sigh escaped him as he rests his chin in his hands. ]

I see no point in these devices. Are we meant to use them for our amusement? If so, I am not easily amused.

[ Falling silent for just a moment, Haldir then peers closer into the screen to get a better look at the red head. The humans of this realm look so odd to him. ]

[Gaara stares right back at the other, unfazed. After seeing animals and monsters, humans are considered normal to him, regardless of appearance.]

It is technology, not sorcery. [Brief pause.] If you are a new arrival, instructions were given on how to navigate the network.

they're for talking to people on a time lapse. not everybody's got time or wants to meet up for face to face conversations, yknow? and it's handy for keeping records.

you ain't the first person in the tower who doesn't know what a computer is, it's kind of common. around where I'm from though, computers are even more ~super duper spectacular~! (☆^O^☆)

instead of connecting just a place as small as this tower, they're spread all over the planet. if you share a common language with 'em, you could talk with somebody tons of hundreds of miles away. over the ocean, even.
