[April looks both tired and not very happy, and she seems to be suffering from sort of headache, judging by how she's rubbing her forehead with a grimace.]

Apparently portable communication devices are a thing that's impossible to make here. If you can somehow put together the materials to make something simple, making a wireless connection between them is impossible, even with use of powers. I tried and now my head hates me for it.

[A sigh as she rubs her eyes.]

So yeah, to the people who I told this about and stuff, sorry but it's not gonna happen. And on a related note, if anyone wants any sort of tech made, I'll probably be able to help out. So long as it isn't a portable communications device or something like that.

There are so many times that a person can tolerate each attempt without suffering something in the process. Technopaths are nearly useless here.

[It's his way of saying, "what's the point? I tried everything." If he were the sensitive type, or at least the overly emotional, he would have sworn that the tower hates him and those like him.]

I'm not gonna give up yet. There's got to be a crack somewhere. [April is too stubborn to stop, even if she keeps hitting blocks and only gets painful headaches in the end.]

*Enoch doesn't know enough about modern technology to request something, but...the only portable communications device he's ever encountered is Lucifel's phone, which was used to contact God. So it isn't a stretch of the imagination to suggest...*

Perhaps they want to prevent us from finding a way to contact the outside...

[April tilts her head, and gives him a faint nod.] Possibly... If we were able to set up a wireless network, we might have been able get in contact with anyone outside. I guess we have to look for other ways to do that, then...

I certainly hope there are others outside. Someone told me they had tried climbing down the side of the tower, and didn't remember anything after passing through the mist except waking up here as if they had died.

[She blinks at him in surprise, before giving a few nods.] I... see... But, there has to be something out there. I mean, wherever we are can't just have a tower with mist around it... right?

Forced we are to use the devices given to us, I'm mildly surprised to hear that someone attempted the impossible. I suppose that's commendable.

S'not needless... [April's expression doesn't change, but she does sound a tad more grumpy. Usually she's a lot more patient, but her failure combined with her pounding headache made her a bit more inclined to be snippy.] If we had portable devices, communication would be easier and people would be able to easily contact others if they were in trouble...
