[At first what Dax is saying is completely incomprehensible--a good ear for languages may notice it's the same language the worker units are speaking. Dax has some sort of device in his hand, though, and after fiddling with it a little eventually his words become understandable to anyone listening:]

--Testing, testing--aha, there we are. Alright--well, to get this out of the way for our new residents, I'm Dax, and I'm an administrator of the Tower. Anyway, as you may have noticed, we're having a few minor malfunctions when it comes to our usual translation process which wasn't helped by having to divert all that power to quarantining and scrubbing radiation. I'm using a portable device to translate this to all of you and to translate any of your responses, but it's a bit fussy.

We should have everything fixed within a day or two, however! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

[He sounds just a bit nervous about the prospect of Q&A, though. It's as if these situations often bring long discussions and arguments, or something.]

[The post will appear in first Japanese, then followed by English.]

If there's trouble with languages, it seems to me a good idea to organise everyone. If you don't find you're having trouble, then please state which languages you speak, and say something in each one to allow anyone who might not realise what they're speaking to find those with a common language.

I'm sorry, I only speak Japanese and English. But, hopefully a good number of people will check this even so. If you're able to translate this into another language, that would be wonderful.

[ooc: this isn't necessarily something Kyrie herself will reply to. If there's any reason to, then yes. Otherwise, go ahead and start or jump into threads, it's intent is gathering people with the same languages, after all!]

[In Japanese:]

I've come to understand that there is something wrong with the languages in this tower... until now, I thought everyone spoke Japanese but I guess that's just how the "translator" works.

If you can understand this language, but it's not a language you're familiar with, this is Japanese. I would be willing to answer any questions you might have about this language or anything else, don't be afraid to ask.

For anyone wondering, Japanese is my first language, and the only other language I can speak is English. But if you need someone to translate Japanese to English or vice verse, I would be willing to help.

[He clears his throat, and starts speaking again. Only this time it's in slightly accented English.]

I can speak English, enough for talking. I don't know who needs help, but I can translate Japanese to English and English to Japanese. Please ask if you need this.

And... can you teach me your language, if you know more? I would like to learn more.

[There's a pause and he frowns a bit sadly, before speaking again. First in Japanese, then repeated in English.]

On another note, Kageyama Reiji is gone. I found his grave the other day.

[Genda, for the record, is not very bright. Definitely not compared to his friends; he may have taken other language classes, but this does not mean he passed them.

So, in Japanese:]

Excuse me - er... I suppose I can't include "everyone" in these posts anymore.
But is there anyone besides Kidou, Sakuma, and myself who speak our language?

Feferi - do you?

[And now, in troubled and very accented English (aka one of the classes he has failed multiple times):]

I am... sorry! I... don't... English well.

[And he gives the feed the most embarrassed little bow, because even he knows how dumb that must sound.
And that's also when he cuts the feed because he does not want to do this anymore, no.]
